If we’re connected on social media, you likely will have seen this picture in a post I shared last week.
It’s not a major break thankfully but…
As someone who’s training to climb K2 (2nd highest mountain in the world) next year, single handedly runs their own fitness business aaaand has a 6 & 9 year old – not ideal!!
Anyway, I got alot of positive feedback from the post so just wanted to share it today incase you missed it and can relate.
“Diagnosis = fracture
Full rest for another 3 weeks (already 4 weeks in). Once better, introduce weights slowly, but if not, hand clinic referral and MRI.
If I’m honest (I don’t believe in only sharing highlights), life has been quite a battle of late and not likely to change anytime soon.
Stressful, overwhelming and incredibly easy to give up.
But when life gets tough, here’s the thing…
You can either feel sorry for yourself, pass blame, bury your head, give up and never achieve the things or live the life that you want.
Or you can take some time to yourself, focus on what you can control, prioritise your mental health, keep your head high and do the best you can.
Some days will be easier.
Some days will be harder.
But every day, be thankful you get to wake up and try again.
It’s a privilege denied to many.”
As always, the purpose of my blog is to help you.
Whether it’s sharing awesome, short workouts you can do at home, tasty, high protein recipes or what I feel most important…
Supporting you with adopting a more positive mindset and ways to protect your mental health.
Anyone can bust out a workout or cook/bake something.
But making changes to your mindset to improve your mental health and happiness isn’t quite so easy.
It takes time.
It takes effort.
It takes consistency.
So if I can leave you with anything today, it’s a message for those who may be struggling in some way right now that….we ALL struggle.
Even the strongest of people.
And that’s OK.
We ALL don’t feel OK sometimes.
And that’s OK.
Every day is a new day and fresh start.
The good days give you happiness.
The bad days give you experience.
The worst days give you lessons.
The best days give you memories.
You can’t have the good without the bad.
And that’s OK.
You’ve survived all of your hardest times.
Breathe, hang in there and just focus on 1 day at a time – you’ll get there!!
