I aim to write a blog every week.
However, last week – I failed.
Sorry, my bad.
I’ll be completely honest.
I didn’t have the energy or mental capacity to do so, infact I was just trying to get through the day the best way I could.
Why?
Because in my previous blog, I shared I broke my wrist and was struggling as everything in my life was taking a massive hit especially training for K2!
So I shared some tips on how to protect your mental health and adopt a more positive mindset regardless of what you’re struggling with.
The day after that email, I was at the hospital for 2 skin biopsies where they cut a chunk out of my hand and back. I was initially told the recovery would be 2 weeks, however this quickly changed.

❌ No lifting anything for 2 weeks.
❌ No running for a min 3 weeks.
❌ No weights for approx 4 weeks.
❌ Can get back to normal at 6 weeks.
Another massive blow both mentally and physically!!
Since surgery, there’s been some good days and bad days.
And thankfully, my stitches come out this Thursday which is another step closer to getting back on track
So on those bad days, I keep reminding myself that ‘this too shal pass’ and do my best to focus on the positives.
✅ Stitches are on the same hand as my broken wrist so can fully rest/recover.
✅ I can still walk and have plenty of time to get K2 ready.
✅ I have an amazing support network to help me.
✅ Every time I get knocked down, I come back stronger!!!
I’m sharing this today as I believe it’s always important to share the struggles as well as success and to hopefully help others know – they’re not alone.
The struggles are also what make us stronger and help us appreciate those good days even more.
You know what else makes you stronger?
