Today I just wanted to share with you a little challenge in the form of an exercise.
Because building a strong body and having good balance is essential for so many reasons in life.
From preventing injury.
Doing basic things like carry shopping/luggage.
Chasing around after kids.
And simply enabling us to move better.
Whether you exercise or not…
This is a fantastic exercise for EVERYONE.
Although it’s quite tough, hence why I’ve called it a challenge : )
Your balance, co-ordination, abs, back, legs, feet and all your little stabilisation muscles, tendons and ligaments are about to be put to the test.
1. Stand on one leg (slightly bent) then bring chest toward ground and heel toward ceiling at same time.
(keep spine neutral & lifted leg straight)

2. Reverse to start position driving with leg on ground using your glute (butt) and hamstring (back of leg)
Aim for 3 sets of 5 reps on your both your left/right leg.
Here’s a short video of me doing this last week so you can see what it looks like.
Beginners – try this on the floor (no weight).
Intermediate – add a wobble cushion or bosu ball.
Advanced – add a wobble cushion and dumbell or any suitable weight.
Give it a go and let me know how you find it.

If you don’t have any equipment, try standing on a cushion or pillow and if you’re feeling confident – hold a bottle of water or can of beans.
