Happy Halloween Eve’s Eve!!

Want to know something SCARY?

The average person gains around 7-10 pounds during the festive season.

Aaaand that’s just around the corner.

Halloween this week.

Christmas in 8 weeks.

Then BOOOM before we know it – 2021!!

And I know this year’s festive period is going to look ALOT different to all of us but I imagine many reading this will still be busy trying to organise some things.

Or perhaps just feel stressed and overwhelmed given our current situation.

Either way, when life gets busy or you feel stressed.

*You don’t eat as well.

*You fall in to bad habits.

*Don’t workout as much.

*Wear jumpers to cover up.

*Pick up colds much easier.

*Don’t sleep as well.

*Darker mornings/nights get you down, etc.

This is EXACTLY the time of year its important to be taking care of yourself the most!!

Otherwise all those sweets, chocolates and Prosecco’s can not only sacrifice your waistline but also your confidence and clothes.

So here’s my top 7 tips to help your waistline survive Halloween.

1. Put ‘Treats’ in A Tupperware Box

If the kids have a ‘stock’ – keep it in a cupboard you don’t usually use.

Out of sight, out of mind!

2. Have A Mini Workout

Even if it’s only 2 mins, it’ll not only burn some cheeky EXTRA calories but it’ll also give enough time for your cravings to pass.

They only last approx 2mins!

Skipping or burpees anyone?

3. Think Forward

If you feel a binge of the sweetie bowl coming and you’ve already done No.2, think how you’ll feel after you eat it.

From the feeling of bloatedness, feeling tired, sick, how your belly will look, etc.

Just thinking about this may just be enough to stop you.

4. Brush Your Teeth

This sounds simple and perhaps a little crazy but you’ll be AMAZED how well it works.

5. Take A Quick Picture of Your Food Before You Eat it

What you eat in private you wear in public.

If you wouldn’t share your sugar binge on social media then…

6. Go Shopping & Stock Up on Healthy Foods

If you’ve got good food in the cupboard you’ll eat good food and vice versa.

EAT crap = FEEL like crap

7. Forgive Yourself

EVERYBODY loves a bit of ‘naughtiness’ now and again.

If you indulge, have the moment then let it GO.

Starting a downward spiral of self-loathing over a bumper size bag of chocolates and something you can’t change is pointless.

Pick yourself up, dust those shoulders and get back on track as soon as you can.
